Today I am sharing my research on my 2x great grandmother, Arabella Baxter (nee Bassett). There doesn’t seem to be a lot of information about her, despite passing away in the 50s, and there doesn’t seem to be any photographs of her. It is a mystery to me, but you can read what I do know about her here.
Charles Wright was my 3x great uncle. He was the youngest sibling of my 2x great grandmother, Mary Ann Hunter (nee Wright). Charles had a very eventful and interesting life and I would have loved to have met him.
Today I have decided to share my research on my great “Auntie Lil”. Her full name was Lilian Alice Looker/Weldon (nee House) and was a very kind lady. Some may say that she had a hard life, but she battled through it and still took the time to bother about herself and others. Read her full story here!
Today I have decided to research my great grandmother Alice Baxter (nee Capon). She passed away 16 years before I was born, meaning that I never got the chance to meet her. Despite this, I have heard a lot about her from my family and I am lucky enough to have photographs of her too. Read her full story here.
Today I have decided to share my research on my great great grandmother Mary Ann Capon (nee Marrow). From what I know of her, she must have been a very strong minded and willed woman. This was definitely proven by how long she lived on the earth. I enjoy the stories that I have collected about her, love looking at photographs and learning more about her. I really wish I could have known her, as I have so many questions that may be forever unanswered!
My great uncle was called Harold Hunter, but was known by many other names, to many people. I had a lot of time for my uncle Harold, as he was a very funny, caring and genuine man. He was always able to make everyone and anyone laugh, and could easily lighten anybody’s mood if they were feeling down. I miss going to visit him, listening to his stories and laughing at his jokes. He will always be remembered and missed by both family and friends. Read his full story here!
Today I research my 3x great grandfather Thomas Beacock, who was the illegitimate son of Sarah Beacock. Without Thomas keeping is mother’s surname, I would not be a Beacock!
I’m going on a break for a couple of months. But don’t hesitate to contact me on my Instagram, Facebook or through the contact form on my website!
Today I have decided to write about my 3x great uncle, Mark House. He had to struggle through life being totally deaf from his birth in 1885, Hampshire. Here’s his story!
Today I have decided to share what I know about my great grandfather, William Hunter, who was more commonly known as Bill. I never met him, but I have always thought that I would have gotten on well with him. Luckily I have photographs, facts and stories about him, so I do feel like I know him quite well.
My great uncle Ronald Beacock was such a great man. I will be forever grateful for his effort in our time of need. Read his story here.
